Are you the one who thinks another way round and burning your body running or in the gym? Are you the one who is skipping meals and having black coffee to look leaner? Although it's not a ratio backed precisely by research papers but the meaning it conveys is widely accepted among Fitness Gurus and the medical fraternity. Consider running a car without lubricant or pushing an Ox to carry the load without food.

Healthy weight loss happens with a healthy calorie deficit. A healthy calorie deficit means you are restricting your unhealthy calorie (Candy, cola, sugar, refined carbs, fried items) intake but your body’s nutritional requirements are not compromised. Therefore you need to have foods which are nutritionally rich and low on calorie.

Diet and exercise both are complementary to each other. You eat well which helps you strengthen your muscles through exercise. Exercise boosts your metabolism. But you may control weight without workouts, not without proper diet and nutrition.No matter how hard you are working out, if you are not eating right you can't lose. To lose weight, if you do workouts without proper diet & nutrition you will lose your hard-earned muscles. It can be noticed in people who look leaner but skinny with sagging skin, poor hair, etc.

Also, you can never compensate for wrong dietary habits with over-exercise. Just to give you a heads up calories consumed in one "can of coca-cola" can be burnt by half an hour of walk..! Hence never think that you have a right to eat anything if you are working out. If you do exercise you should be doubly conscious about what you are putting into your body.

Hence the right blend of healthy eating and a moderate workout can help you lose weight.
